Show The A. D. Q. club members were guests last Thursday evening of Miss Ruth Hafen, the time being devoted to work on the blocks of a friendship quilt being made for the hostess. Refreshments were served. Mrs. Lizzie Hill entertained the Saturday Night Bridge club at the home of her sister, Jennie M. Brown, July 19. Mrs. Robert Pickett and Miss Mishie Seeg-miller Seeg-miller took honors for the evening. eve-ning. Mr. and Mrs. Laron S. Andrus and two small daughters, and Mr. Andrus' mother, left Tuesday for Sun Valley, Idaho, to attend a Rotary conference and will then visit in Montana. Mr. and Mrs. Elmer Anderson and small son were house guests over Saturday night and Sunday of Mr. and Mrs. Harry Pearce, Mrs. Anderson's parents. Also visiting vis-iting them Wednesday was their daughter-in-law, Mrs. R. A. Pearce of Los Angeles and her daughters, Marilyn and Dean. Mr. and Mrs. Ervin Milne and family accompanied by Mrs. Alice W. Milne left Wednesday forenoon for Salt Lake City where they will visit relatives over the remainder re-mainder of the week. Mr. and Mrs. Leon McAllister of California and four children visited over the past week-end with St. George relatives, including includ-ing Mrs. McAllisters' grandfather, Charles W. (Uncle Charley) Seeg-miller. Seeg-miller. Mrs. McAllister will be remembered at the former Miss Vilate Roundy of Alton. Creston and Joseph Woodard arrived ar-rived late Tuesday night from Laredo. Texas, where Creston has been in business for the past several sev-eral months and his brother in training in the electrical business. They have had intensive experience experi-ence in wiring big contracts and plan to set up in business in St. Georje. Mrs. Talmadge Christensen returned re-turned to her home in Provo on Wednesday morning after visiting for the past week at the home of frrr mother. Mrs. Annie M Webb. |
