Show Two Washington County Men Die Following Car Wreck Sunday, July 20 Indications Are Driver Fell Asleep; Funeral For McArthur Held Here Another highway tragedy brought sorrow to two homes in St. George Sunday, July 20, with the deaths of Harrison Burgess, 2S, husband of Grace Blake, and son of Mrs. Isaac Burgess, and Clark Lund McArthur, 25, husband of Mary Clements McArthur and son of Mrs. Mary Lund McArthur of Modena. The two men were in the Harrison Har-rison Burgess car traveling from Moapa toward Las Vegas about 5:30 a.m., Sunday, and indications are that they fell asleep and the truck overturned 10 miles east of Las Vegas. Both men received broken legs and fractured skulls. They were taken to a Las Vegas hospital where Clark McArthur died at 9 p. m., Sunday and Harrison Har-rison Burgess at midnight. Clark Lund McArthur was born January 6, 1916, in St. George, a son of Keith and Mary Lund McArthur. He had his schooling in St. George and has resided here and in various parts of Nevada. He married Mary Clements of Idaho in 1940. They have a son, Jerry Lund McArthur, aged 11 months. Surviving besides his wife and son, are his mother, Mary Lund McArthur, who with his sister Dorothy, and one brother Clayton, reside at Modena, another brother Frances, in the Army at Ft. McArthur, Mc-Arthur, and a third brother Keith, is in training at Camp San Luis Obispo. His father, Keith McArthur Mc-Arthur lives in Reno. Driving the U. S. Mail from St. George to Moapa for the past several sev-eral months, Mr. and Mrs. McArthur Mc-Arthur have made their home in Moapa. According to reports she and their son came with him to St. George Saturday remaining to visit and he returned to Moapa from where he went by train to Las Vegas to visit Mr. Burgess and the two returned to Moapa early Sunday morning and were on their way back to Las Vegas at 5:30 a.m., when the accident occurred. McArthur Funeral Funeral services were conducted in the St. George stake Tabernacle at 5 p. m., Wednesday, July 23, for Clark Lund McArthur. Music numbers included a vocal trio, "The Lord's Prayer", by Mamie Paxman, LaRee Porter and Anna Carter Cox; duet, "Prayer Perfect" ,by Melba Baker and Ruth Miles; vocal solo, "He Shall Feed His Sheep", from the Messiah, Mes-siah, by Clive Hartman, and solo, "My Peace I Leave With Thee", by Mamie Paxman. Nemmie Pearce was accompanist. Speakers for the services were Harold Cox, a life-long neighbor, George W. Harold Har-old Cox told of association as neighbors and of the kindliness of the family at all times. Brief closing remarks were made by Bishop Andrus. Prayers were by George F.
