Show TOQUERVILLE Mrs. Kowena W. Slack Reporter The Ladies' Sewing Circle met at the home of Mrs. Loren Bring-hurst Bring-hurst and Mrs. Frances Slack, Thursday night, where a pot-luck supper was enjoyed by all present. Ralph Johnson left Sunday for San Luis Obispo, after visiting the past week with his parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Johnson. May Dalton of Rockville is visiting vis-iting at the home of her sister and brother-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. William Bringhurst. Sunday afternoon in Sacrament meeting the program presented was in honor of our pioneers. The program consisted of talks by Joseph Barton, H. M. Wallace, W. H. Slack, Mrs. Eliza Ann Anderson, An-derson, Mrs. R. T. Higbee, Ben Slack and Dixie Kleinman, and a duet by Misses Blanch and Genevieve Gene-vieve Lamb. Ruel Glazier returned Friday from the Veterans' hospital at Salt Lake City where he has been the past month receiving medical aid. Mr. and Mrs. Leslie Bringhurst have purchased the home of Mrs. Rhea Wakeling. Samuel Bringhurst returned on Sunday from Salt Lake City where he attended the Postmasters' Postmast-ers' convention. Mr. and Mrs. Reed Johnson and family and Lester Batty of Cedar City visited Sunday at the home of Mr. Johnson's parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. H. Johnson. Allen Dean of Salt Lake is visiting vis-iting here with his father, Robert Dean. Mrs. Vernon Thurber and daughter daugh-ter Dawn, enroute to their home in Provo, visited with Mrs. Thurb-er's Thurb-er's brothers and their families, Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Bringhurst, Mr. and Mrs. Willaim Bringhurst, Bishop and Mrs. Leo Bringhurst and Charles Bringhurst. Mrs. Thurber was returning from San Francisco and San Diego where she had accompanied her son and his bride. Mr. Thurber is a member mem-ber of the Marine Corps. Mrs. William Pate of Redlands, Calif., is visiting at the home of her daughter and son-in-law, Mr. and Mrs. Esbert Batty. j |
