Show 'High Seas' Christmas Program Planned By American Red Cross Plans are underway to give the American servicemen and women who will be on the high seas Christmas day, a "High Seas" Christmas program, according to a release just received from the Pacific area of the American Red Cross. This program, says the release, will mean a Christmas gift for every serviceman and woman who will be at sea Christmas Christ-mas day. Publicity is being given to the program by radio and Jiews-paper, in order to promote the idea so that the gifts will be Provided and on time. Since it will not be possible for families to know who of their service members are to be on the as Christmas day, the idea is for all who can, to provide an extra gift and send them through the American Red Cross to ports of embarkation, there they can put to the best use in distributing dis-tributing Christmas cheer on the ll!Sh seas. The gifts suggested are writing Pad-and pencil, paper-backed ks, soap, cigarettes, handkerchiefs, handker-chiefs, camphor ice and similar articles.
