Show Display At Penney 's During last week there was an exhibit in the display window at the local J. C. Penney store, which attracted many passers-by. This was a collection of souvenirs sent and brought home from India, by William K. Empey, Gunner's Mate 3 'c of the U. S. Navy, and son of Mr. and Mrs. Hyrum Empey. The exhibit included a cobra strangling its victim, a mongoose; a man's necktie made of a cobra skin; the Taj Mahal woven in silver on a pillow cover, all from India; as well as artistically-tooled artistically-tooled leather wallets and other items from elsewhere on Mate Empey's world travels. |
