Show I Plans Announced For Two Music J And Health Days To Be Held Here Soon Program To Include Day For Elementary And High Schools of County Plans are under way for two Music and Health Days to be held in St. George for students and patrons of the county, it was announced an-nounced today by Supt. Milton E. Moody. The first, Elementary Music and Health Day, will be held April 26. Commencing at 10 a.m. all students of the fourth, fifth, sixth and in some cases, the seventh and eighth grades of the county will meet at the Recreational Recrea-tional hall and participate in a general music festival. All schools will take part in singing and where possible instrumental numbers. num-bers. The central theme of this program will be the giving of the folk songs of the various countries. After lunch on the lawns, all students will go to the Athletic 1 Field where health games and programs will be engaged in until I time for the students to leave for their homes. On May 3, the high schools of the county will meet here in St. George at the Recreation hall at 9:30 a.m. For two hours, students and patrons will enjoy band numbers, num-bers, orchestra, chorus and solos both vocal and instrumental following fol-lowing in rapid succession. After lunch, demonstrations in dancing, tumbling, setting up I exercises, archery and various ' games will be demonstrated at the J athletic field. At the close of ' these activities the girls will engage en-gage in a posture parade assisted m by the various bands, followed by band maneuvers and massed band numbers. The public is urged to keep these dates in mind as both J programs will be well worth attending. at-tending. More details of these programs will be printed later. |
