Show State Leaders Tell Need For Beautification Mrs. Grant Ivins of Provo and Mrs. Mary R. Mower of Salt Lake City, were official St. George visitors last Saturday in the interest in-terest of the state-wide beautification beautifi-cation program looking toward Utah's Centennial Exposition in 1947. Mrs. Mower heads Utah's Women Federation of Farm Bureau auxiliary and Mrs. Ivins has been appointed as a member of the state-wide beautification committee. The meeting was held in the office of Anson B. Call Jr.. county agricultural agent, Mr. Call was in charge of the session. Mr. and Mrs. Chauncey Sandberg and Dr. G. W. Gibson attended from Hurricane. Mrs. Mower devoted her remarks to the big necessity of state-wide health work, or proper food and medical care for the entire state. Mrs. Grant Ivins stressed beautification of homes and their surroundings, of taking advantage of the natural beauty to be found in the state and especially in this section of Utah, and work unitedly united-ly from one end of the state to the other is putting over this mammouth undertaking. |
