Show BAC And Dixie To Tangle On Friday, Saturday In Post-Season Games The Dixie college basketeers will wind up the college basketball for this year with a post-season game with the Branch Agricultural college col-lege on Friday and ' Saturday. March 3 and 4 in the Dixie college gym. These two teams have clashed nrevionslv this vear with the B.A.C. the victors in both games. However the Dixie boys have developed de-veloped more speed and strength and promise to give their noted rivals a real fight. Last week the Flyers clashed with the powerful Ricks quintet. Demonstrating some outstanding playing, the Dixie boys held the Vikings to a 42-42 tie at the end of the game. In the extra five minute period of playing the Ricks team caged an extra basket and won the tilt. In the second night's hard-fought hard-fought game, the score was nip and tuck first. Dixie leading then Ricks. The Ricks boys contrived to be on top by two points when the gun went off. Both games were actually lost by Dixie from the foul line, since Dixie only made 7 out of 18 rrys the first night and 3 out of 10 the second while Ricks was making 11 out of 23 and 7 out of 13. On both nights the Dixie team outscored the Ricks crew from the field, but failed to cash in on their foul pitches and that was the ball game.
