Show Hurricane Beats Parowan To Tune Of Twenty-Seven to Fifteen HURRICANE. Utah The Hurricane Hurri-cane high basketball quintet continued con-tinued in second place and were assured of at least a tie, for second in the league standings when they turned back the Parowan Paro-wan five in a one-sided encounter here Saturday by a score of 27-15. Mitchell. Parowan star forward, was held scoreless from the field by Warren Church, who in addition ad-dition to his fine work at guard, contributed three baskets. All of the home squad, who started the game, broke into the scoring column. Jack Woodbury leading with seven points. Hurricane led 7 to 0 before Parowan scored two baskets near the end of the 1st quarter. The 2nd quarter was all Hurricane with 8 points scored to 3 foul pitches for Parowan, making the score 7-15 at the half. The local team ran this to 8-25 at the end of the 3rd quarter and then Coach Brooks turned things over to the reserves. The final score stood 27-15. Parowan showed one bright spot in an otherwise listless list-less performance by making 7 foul goals out of 8 tries. Hurricane, Hurri-cane, on the other hand got but one in 6 tries.
