Show LA VERKIN MRS. MAX WOODBURY Reporter The LaVerkin P.-T. A. is well organized here and has a good spirit this year. We have been successful In getting everyone out to our meetings and we feel that they are getting much educational edu-cational good out of them. The following program was given giv-en at our last P.-T. A. meeting. Community singing, men's quartet. quar-tet. Bill Sanders in charge. Mr. Bennett, principal or the Hurricane Hurri-cane high school gave a most interesting talk on the "Value of Travel." He told of his experiences ex-periences while traveling and of Its educational advantages. A boys' chorus gave a musical skit, they sang popular cowboy songs. Clark Gubler impersonated a grand opera singer, but backstage. back-stage. Dawn Graff did the singing. Santa Claua was there and he gave everyone some popcorn. Gams were played and the remainder re-mainder of the evening dancing was enjoyed. At a certiiin college in the north of Xcw England the male students were not permitted to visit the resident lady boarders. One day a sudent was caught in the act of doing so and waS courtiiiaitiiiled. Said the Dean: "Sir, the pen alty for the first offense is 50 cents, for the second $2.50, for the tliird $5, and so on up to $15." In solomn tones the trespasser inquired: "How much would a soiusou ticket cost?" |
