Show CANDIDATES (Continued from first, page) "Are you in favor of the extension of the Junior college movement?" are as follows: Harmon Perry "I am in favor of the Junior colleges to the extent ex-tent of adequate staite sujpport and, if it appears logical, I would naturally favor the extention of the Junior college system. We consider Weber college an asset to Ogden and I feel that Dixie College Col-lege is considered just as valuable in Southern Utah. It is my opinion opin-ion that they should continue to expand as patronage increases." Ilay E. Dillman "When the Junior college measure was presented pre-sented it had passed the house and the vote was ten and ten against this measure in the Senate. As President of the Senate I had the last vote which would either kill this measure or pass it sa far as the Legislature was concerned.. . . I was in harmony with providing for our rural districts, greater educational advantage, and I felt that the results would justify the expenditure." A reply had not been received from Governor Blood at the time of going to press. However, Mr. Frei states that Governor Blood's record in this respect indicates his stand for the Junior college system. |
