Show BUNKERVILLE, NEV. MRS. MARY H. LEAVITT Reporter Mrs. Annie E. Cox received a telegram Monday morning of the death of her daughter, Thelma of Los Angeles following an operation oper-ation for sinus trouble. Mrs. Cox, Mrs. Leavitt and Mrs. Erlin Tobler left for California at noon monday to attend the funeral. Miss Cox has had employment em-ployment as a trained nurse in California hospitals if o,'r several years and recently has hald p. modern home built here for her mother. She .made several trips home to supervise the work. We had as home missionarise on Sunday E. R. Rowe and Miss Flora Jones, both of Las Vegas ward, stake music directors. Wilford Robinson, 12 has been suffering with an infected heel for the past week. He was taken to the St. George hospital to have it lanced, but it still is very painful pain-ful and nothing seems to ease the pain. Political rallies and free dances have been given quite frequently during the past two weeks by the Democratic and Republican candidates can-didates and interesting meetings were held by both parties. Melvin Leavitt and four boys returned from Kansas City where they attended the National Agricultural Agri-cultural convention held there October Oc-tober 19-23. Cleo Frehner and Owen Hughes of Mesquite were among the group. Supt. Paul Thurston and our h i 'g h school principal attended State institute in Reno last week. Mrs. Ella Perkins of Overton has been here visiting the Primary grades as supervising instructor.' |
