Of these barracks, bar-racks, the administration building and the messhall will be shortened each twenty feet, leaving a space of forty feet between buildings. Sufficient new materials will be purchased from a lowest bidder to finish all the construction work in first class condition. Skilled labor will be hired for supervisory supervi-sory and finish work, the remained being done by enrollees of the camp. Lieut. Mervin H. Smith will have charge of the work. Airplane modeling of the flying class is the latest artcraft hobby at the Bridge Mountain CCC camp. Lieut. A. F. McMeekin and en-rollee en-rollee Wallace Clegg have formed an airplane model club, which is developing into a full fledged hobby project. With eight members, mem-bers, nearly all of whom have made one or more models, the club had its first flight demonstration Saturday. A four foot, motor driven model took to the air in Zion Park on half a dozen separate sep-arate flights before it suffered enough damage to completely ground it. Enrollee Clegg, who owns the model and motor, is the club leader and chief designer. |
