Show ENTERPRISE Enterprise, Utah, August 1. Our twenty - fourth celebration was a success. Monday morning at 10 o'clock there was a very good program and at 2 o'clock a children's dance. After the children's races there was a thunder shower which stopped the sports, dance and show at night. Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock the sports started again. The main feature fea-ture of the day was a baseball game between the married and the single women the married women being victorious. vic-torious. The girls challenged them for a game the next day which the girls won. Altogether a very enjoyable time was had. Last night about 30 of our young folks went to Veyo to swim. Mrs. Will Leavitt and children from Mesquite, Nevada, are visiting friends and relatives here. Quite a number of our people from Pioche, Nevada, were here to spend the 24th. Mr. and Mrs. Tom Drake and Mrs. John Z. Alger, Jr., are visiting in Salt Lake. Mrs. Josie Wadsworth and daughter daugh-ter of Panaca are visiting here. Quite a number of our people went to Cedar to attend the circus. Mrs. Lyman Woods and family visited vis-ited here a few days en route to Cedar to see the circus. Mrs. Sarah Morris has returned from Milford where she visited her daughter, Mrs. W. S. Schori. The very much needed rains started start-ed here on the 23rd and it rained every afternoon for five days. The threshing machine is running here now. |
