Show ROCKVILLE Daniel Hirschi returned home Wednesday from a trip to the World's Fair. He reports a very enjoyable time. Rosalie Dennett and family have moved to Salt Lake City for the winter. Mrs. Arch Ballard and son, Melvtn returned during tile week from the Grand Canyon, where they spent the summer. Russell Mahan, who spent several sev-eral days on the West rim fighting fight-ing fire returned home Tuesday. Howard Chamberlain of Cedar City spent a few days here with his sister, Mrs. Alvin Jones, transacting business. Mr. Dana of Hurricane has rented the home of Rosalie Dennett Den-nett and is moving his family here. Grant Langiston spent the week-end here from New Harmony, Har-mony, where he is teaching school. Hjeber Hirschi and 'family made a trip to California recently. Mr. and Mrs. P. Jones spent Saturday in St. George. Twenty-four students have already al-ready left here 'for high school and college in Cedar City, St. George and Hurricane. Others are intending to go soon. Our school teachers: Mr. Stucki and Mrs. Pitchforth are here ready to begin their winter work as soon as the school building build-ing is finished. Bessie Snow of iSt. George, who is teaching at Springdale is staying stay-ing with Mrs. Afton Ballard this winter. Mrs. Cliff Presnall, wife of the Park Naturalist and Mrs. Fred C. Fagergren were visitors at the home of the latter's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. P. Jones, on Sunday. They returned to Bryce where they are spending the summer. Mrs. Annie Ballard entertained at a party Wednesday evening in honor of Mirs. Rosalie Dennett. |
