Show WAR DEPT. ORDERS CHANGE IN BEAVER HIGHWAY ROUTE (Beaver Press) The question of the route of Highway High-way No. 91 through the city of Beaver has been definitely determined, according ac-cording to reports brought back by those attending the conference held with the state road commission in Salt Lake recently. The new road, under the federal aid project, to be built the coming year, will be constructed on a straight line through the city, according ac-cording to the commission, which means that it will go south from the Doughboy statue to the end of Main street, thence angling across to the Beaver river bridge, where it will re-connect with the old highway route. It is claimed that in view of wartime war-time preparedness, all roads built from now hence with federal aid, must be on a straight line as near as possible, and all curves than can be eliminated, must go. |
