Show SANTA CLARA SANTA CLARA, Jan. 1. Christmas passed off appropriately, though quietly. Owing to the ideal w-eather, everybody enjoyed themselves. Several entertainments were put on over the holidays by the school and church organizations. The school presented pre-sented an operetta, "Santa Listened In," under the. direction of Karl Fordham. The primary gave an entertainment enter-tainment wrhich also was a success. On Christmas eve, old Santa Claus put in an appearance and made everybody ev-erybody happy. A short program w-as given by the M. I. A. Mr. and Mrs. Milo Adams and family of Bunkerville spent several days here last week visiting. Mrs. Clyde Gray of Central spent the Christmas holidays here. Born -A daughter to Mr. and Mrs. Frank Reber, December 31. George Ence returned home from Ely, Nev., where he has been employed. em-ployed. Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Bladen and baby and Mr. and Mrs. RumBiel Ence and baby of Cedar City spent New Year's day here. Miss Thelma . Graff has returned from Salt Lake City where she has spent Christmas holidays visiting. A married folks' party was held last Friday night in the auditorium under the direction of Adolph Hafen. A very enjoyable time was had by all present. Mr. and Mrs. Clifford Wittwer have moved to St. George where they will make their home. Mr. and Mrs. Clark Orton of Paro-wan Paro-wan spent several days last week at the home of Mrs. Adolph Hafen visiting. vis-iting. Leon Graff left for Pioche on January Jan-uary 1. He intends to find employment employ-ment there. The following students and teachers teach-ers have returned home to spend the holidays: Roland and Merril Stucki and Clark Frei from the B. Y. U., Arvil Hafen from Berkeley, Glenn Graff from Rockville, Elva and Clara Graff from! Hurricane, and Misses Elma and Margie Knight from Bunkerville. |
