Mr. and Mrs. Wm, Rucsch Jr., and family of Hurricane spent New Years day here visiting Mrs. Rucsch's parents, par-ents, Mr. and Mrs. John T. Woodbury, Wood-bury, Sr. Miss Ellen Beaumont of Beaver was a visitor here Monday and Tuesday. Tues-day. She was the guest of Miss Ovilla Empey. Miss LaPrele Magleby returned to her home at Monroe Wednesday after visiting her grandmother, Mrs. Amanda Aman-da Sorenson and other relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. Harley Adams of Eunkerville are spending some time here with their son Lynn who underwent un-derwent a serious operation several weeks ago. He left the hospital on Saturday. Mrs. Elizabeth Burgess and family of Central were visitors here Saturday Satur-day en route to Mesquite where they are spending the winter. Mrs. Sarah Lloynd returned to her home at Springville last Saturday after visiting her daughter, Mrs. J. yin. Harrison and Miss Elizabeth LJoynd here. Mrs. Mary Reber returned to her home at Mesquite Sunday after spending a few weeks here on account ac-count of the serious illness of Mrs. Clarence Reber at the hospital here. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas Cannon of Tremonton came in last Friday to visit Mrs. Rhoda Cannon here. The family spent Sunday visiting Mr. and Mrs. Jos. W. Webb at Hurricane. Dr. and Mrs. .Henry Savage and family of Ogden arrived here Sunday to visit relatives. They were accompanied accom-panied by Karl Savage and sister Miss Mary, who have been visiting at Heber City. A surprise party was given at the home of Mrs. Charles Sullivan on Wednesday evening. A large number of relatives and friends were present pres-ent to wish her a happy birthday. Arthur Norton of La Point is here to attend the winter quarter at the Dixie College. Mr. and Mrs. Tennyson Atkin left this morning for their home at Doris, Calif., after visiting relatives here. Pawn and Elene Jensen of Cedar City were visiting friends here this week. Mr. and Mrs. James Howd and family of Beaver were visiting friends in St: George during the holidays. Warren Cox left the local hospital on Tuesday. He is recovering nicely from his recent operation. Ward Wright of Hurricane underwent under-went an operation of the hospital here last Thursday.
