Show PRIDE IN OWNERSHIP Not so many years ago there was keen competition between a number of motor car companies to see who could build the best automobile i one that would stand up for years ! under hard usage. Of late years the fad has been to change models semi-annually and build cheaper and cheaper on a mass production basis. Most automobiles today are good for a reasonable amount of use but few of them are built with the idea of pride in workmanship which causes an owner to prize his car as he used to prize some of the old familiar makes. It is only fair to say, however, that the majority of cars are probably prob-ably build safer today, with their all-steel bodies and four-wheel brakes, than they were in the days of wooden body construction and smaller braking surface. Traffic con- jditions have made this necessary as a matter of self-preservation. |
