Wm. Nicholls and Orven Hartman of Leeds spent Tuesday in St. George. Mr. and Mrs. John Judd of La Verkin spent the week end visiting in St. George. Mrs. Judith Larson left Wednesday for her home at Logan after visiting relatives here the past month. Mrs. Ruben Stratton underwent an operation at the local hospital last Friday. J, N. Stacey of Cedar City was a business visitors in St. George last Friday. John Kinney came in last Friday from Mt. Trumbull for medical attention. at-tention. Don T. Emmett, P. D. Canfield and Wm. J. Truman of Enterprise spent Wednesday here on business. E. R. Higbee left Wednesday for Salt Lake City to spend several days on business. Ralph Shirk of Bakersfield arrived Tuesday to spend several days visiting visit-ing here and at Cedar City. Mrs. B. Glen Smith left Wednesday Wednes-day for Salt Lake City to attend the funeral of her uncle, George E. Maycock. Mr. and Mrs. Alex Milne left Sunday Sun-day for Salt Lake City on a week's business trip. While there they will attend the state tournament. Mr. and Mrs. Parley A. Walter left for their home at Provo Saturday morning after six weeks spent in St. George. Miss Mona Woodbury left Sunday for Salt Lake City to spend a week visiting her brother, Clare Wool'xiry, and family. Ezra Haden left today for his home at New Harmony. He is recovering re-covering nicely from his recent operation. op-eration. Mrs. Roxie Romney, Misses Mildred Mil-dred Marshall, Ruth Hafen, Zelma Cooper and Owen Frei left Tuesday for Salt Lake City to attend the basketball tournament. Miss Viola Cannon spent last week end visiting in St. George while en route to her home at Las Vegas. She has attended the B. A. C. at Cedar City the past winter. W. G. Piatt, a former Utah boy, now president of the Reno, Nevada, unit of the National State Horticultural Horticul-tural Association, was a visitor in St. George over the week end. Mrs. Eleanor Jarvis came in Saturday Sat-urday from Cedar City to spend two days at the home of Mrs. George Worthen. A party, in honor of Mrs. Jarvis' 75th birthday, was given Saturday Sat-urday afternoon at the home of Mrs. Worthen. Mr. and Mrs. Russ Cook of Salt Lake City were visiting Mrs. Conk's sister, Mrs. Claude Worthen here this morning while en route home from Los Angeles where they spent several sev-eral days with Mrs. Wilford Hunt who has-been very ill. They were ac-. companied by Miss Edith Fawcett of Los Angeles who will spend a week here with relatives. |
