Show MRS. EMMA JOLLEY LAID TO REST IN SPRINGDALE MONDAY SPRINGDALE, March 11. Funeral services were held here today for Mrs. Emma Jolley who died at the Cedar City hospital March 9th. Mrs. Jolley was born at Shonesburg in the year 1875, a daughter of John and Mary E. Allred. Her father was familiarly known as Doctor Allred.. She was one of seventeen children born to this worthjr couple. In 1891 she was married to Donald Jolley. Eleven children were born to them, six of whom have preceded her in death.. Fifteen years ago "Aunt Emma" had a stroke that left her in very poor health, but she was uncomplaining uncom-plaining and has been a blessing to all around her. Being a sufferer with rheumatism it was only with great effort that she could walk at all. On October 26, last year, her sister, sis-ter, Alice V. Gifford, also a sufferer with rheumatism, passed away. These sisters had spent many hours together and it seems they were not to be-separated be-separated for long, even by death. Mrs. Jolley was an honorable, lovable lov-able woman, an ideal wife and mother. She is survived by her husband, hus-band, one son and four daughters, all worthy members of our commun-Orderville, commun-Orderville, Edward and Bert ofet ity; also three brothers, Parley All-red All-red of Orderville, Edward and Bert Allred of Lovell, Wyo., and four-sisters, four-sisters, Florence Emmett, Polly Lynn. Nettie Asey and Clara Adams, all of Lovell, Wyo. |
