Show GENTLE RAIN FAUS IN COUNTY Residents ot Washington County Coun-ty wore wakened on Wednesday morning by the welcome putter of rain. Although there Vuul been every indication of rain the day before, people had almost given up hope o-f over seeing It rain again. Total precipitation was one quarter ot an Inch according to R. V. MVFarlnne, weather observer ob-server tor this district. While the amount of preclpa-tatiou preclpa-tatiou was not sufficient to do a great deal ot good, still every bit! helps and It at least laid the ttusi which had become such a nuisance nuis-ance to the housewives ot Pixie. The storm seems to have been a part of the general one that has been bringing relief to all of the drouth stricken areas from Chicago west. In some places snow was reported. This probably probab-ly accounts for the drop in temperature tem-perature that Dixie has had the past few days. In a bulletin issued by the Experiment Ex-periment Station of the Utah Agriculture Ag-riculture College, there Is a chart showing the annual precipatation by inches in each month or the year. This chart shows July as the wettest month of the year, this was far from being the case last year and present indications ' are that it will not live up to former for-mer records this year. July rains would be a boon to the stock raisers of this district. |
