Show KOCKVILLE Rockvillo, Auk. 31. William R. Lnngston luul a narrow escape from serious injury when his car went over tl,e Black ridge on a recent trip to Cedar with fruit. As he was traveling travel-ing UP a steep incline the brakes failed and the car slid backwards turning over and pinning Mr. Lang-ston Lang-ston and his small son Loren underneath under-neath the car. Men working nearby lifted the car and rushed the victims to Cedar City where it was found nec-cessary nec-cessary to put a few stitches into Lo-ren's Lo-ren's toot. The car was not badly damaged. George Thatcher of Granger, a former resident of Shonesburg, spent the week end here visiting at the home of George Jennings. Mr. Thatcher That-cher was accompanied by his two daughters, Miss Melva and Mrs.Emil Erickson and Mr. Erickson. Mr. and Mrs. George A. Smith and Mr. and Mrs. Melvin Smith of Provo spent last week here visiting, friends. Mr. Smith is a son of the late Bishop Smith of this place. Mr. and Mrs. Carson Draper, former form-er residents of Rockville, spent some time here recently visiting Mrs. Draper's Dra-per's brother, Brigham Dalton. Frank Barber of Hurricane attended attend-ed sacrament meeting in the interest of Religion class -work. His visit was much appreciated. Mrs. Leonard Garner of Ogden is here visiting her parents, Mr. and Mrs. David Lemmon. Mrs. Ida Millet spent several days here last week with her daughter, Mrs. Arthur Terry. Guy DeMill is home from St. George where he has been doing carpenter car-penter work. Weldon and Emeril Jennings spent a few days last week visiting in Hurricane. Hur-ricane. Mrs. Will Langston of Hurricane was a visitor here last week. |
