OPENS WAY AGAIN FOR OIL, GAS SEARCHERS Regulations Have as Object Equal Opportunity for Large and Small Interests, Inter-ests, and Development Regulations under which the issuance of oil and gas prospecting pros-pecting permits, suspended since March 13, 1929, may be resumed, re-sumed, are announced by Eli F. Taylor, register of the Salt Lake City branch of the L'nited States land office. The new regulations will affect af-fect the St. George field only in case new leases are applied for. Those companies that are already drilling will be allowed to continue operations under their old permits. ' As promulgated by Secretary of the Interior, Ray Lyman Wilbur, Wil-bur, the regulaitons have as announced an-nounced objectives: Equality of opportunity for small as well as large -interests, actual development develop-ment in lieu of speculative conditions, con-ditions, rational control of production pro-duction and protection or correlative corre-lative rights through unit operation, opera-tion, ratable sharing of market outlet by all permittees on a structure, recognition of- preference prefer-ence right in favor of those applicants ap-plicants and permit holders whom the suspension of 1929 affected. affect-ed.
