Show EOCKYILLE i The recent visit of Mr. Anderson, Ander-son, scout executive gave an impetus im-petus to scouting that is quite noticeable in this locality, the troop committee Heber Hirschi, A. D. Cox, and Ira Mi'lett, with the cooperation of scout master Marvin Terry have outlined a course of activities that will keep the boys enthused and busy for some time to come. A number of civic improvements are planned, plan-ned, including the cleaning and beautification of the cemetery, repairing of the sidewalks and tree planting. Their monthly good turn which was done last Saturday resulted in much reeded reed-ed improvements in front of the meeting house where the sidewalks side-walks were repaired and ditches cleaned. The scouts now registered regist-ered are Frank Henderson, Wayne DeMille, Maurice Dalton, Alpine DeMille, Lowell Terry, Clair Hirschi, Lawrence Dennett Clayton Hirschi and Keith Terry. The boys are anxiously looking forward to their summer camp. Mr. and Mrs. Willard Blake and Mr. and Mrs. Blake, Sr., of St. George were visitors here Sunday. Mrs. A. D. Cox and L. Henderson Hender-son spent Saturday in Hurricane. Heber and Clair Hirschi were visitors in Hurricane Sunday. Edwin and Edison DeMille, Fae and Barbara Terry and Woodrow Dennett spent the week end here from school. Roswell DeMille made a business busi-ness trip to St. George Saturday. Mr. and Mrs. Arch Ballard en tertained a party of eighteen last Friday evening. Mrs. Alton Jones spent part of last week visiting with relatives in St. George. Mrs. Hyrum De'Mille is home from a .two weeks stay in St. George. Mrs. Leonard Dalton has been quite sick for the past week. Miss Mae Dalton is home from a months stay in Cedar City. The Huricane eighth grade basketball team played the Rock-ville Rock-ville eighth grade here Monday The score was 3 8-33 in favor of the Rockville team. |
