Show TO MAYOR JOHN T. WOODBURY, Jr. When news of the terriblei tragedy that so suddenly has stricken many of your people reached me yesterday, I wired condolences, and also called Mr. Ellis J. Pickett, requesting that he, as my personal representative, visit every bereaved family and express to them my deepest sympathy; this I am sure Mr. Pickett has done. I wish now through you to convey, officially, to your sorrowing community, and especially to those who are mourning the untimely loss or injury of loved ones, the sincerest condolences that go out tio them from the hearts of the people of this State of Utah. I most keenly regret that the heavy pressure of my time, due to Legislative business!, makes it impossible for me to be with you at the Memorial Services today. Please let this message speak for me the sentiments I would express if it were possible for me to be there. (Signed) Henry H. Blood, Governor. |
