Show ALBERT HERMAN DIES WEDNESDAY MORNING OF HEART ATTACK Albert Herman died at his home in St. George Wednesday morning, at 7:40, after a five month's illness. Heart trouble was the cause of his death although he had been in poor health for several years. Time of funeral services will be announced after the arrival of" some of his children. child-ren. Mr. Herman was born in Germany Ger-many in October of 18 61 aind when seventeen years of age came to America. He made his home in Montpelier, Idaho for a number of years where he followed the trade of watchmaker. Here he met Miss Elizabeth Hampton to whom he was married in the Logan Lo-gan Temple in 1888. A few years later they went to Gridley, California, Calif-ornia, where they spent five years, Mir. Herman following the occupation occu-pation of watchmaking and farming. farm-ing. He came with his family to St. George, 21 years ago, where he entered business as a watchmaker and jeweler and kept a store in connection. Due to his failing health he was required to give up the store three years ago". Mr. Herman was a devoted Latter Lat-ter Day Saint and at the time of his death held the office of a High Priest. He filled two missions to Turkey, the first lasting four years and the second lasting three years. He was well informed on current cur-rent topics and was very well learned concerning general and world affairs. Besides his widow he is survived surviv-ed by the following children: Julius Jul-ius and Milton, Castle Point, New York; Lester, Chicago, Illinois, and Eugene, St. George; Mrs. May Taylor, Long Beach, California; Mru. Hulda Tooler. San ifrancisco, and Mrs. Obah Keate, Oakland, California. |
