Show JAMES ALSOP AND AUNT ARRrVE HERE TOR FUNERAL, PLANS TOLD Walter James Alsop, son of Mr. and Mrs. Charles Alsop, accompanied accom-panied by his aunt, Mrs. James B. Holloway, of Lexington, Kan-tucky, Kan-tucky, arrived in St. George, Saturday Sat-urday from the East. Mr. Alsop was informed of the disaster by telephone. He left Washington D. C, at 4:00 p.m., Thursday and arrived in Chicago iat 8:30, where he was met by 1 Mjrs. Holloway. At 5:00 p.m. they, with two of the Arrowhead Petroleum backers, took the plane for St. George. Because there were four 'of them wanting to stop at St. George, a special stop was made here, at the local airport. Mr. Alsop states that it is his plan to hold on to as much of the property as possible. He, like his father, is thoroughly sold on the possibilities of the local oil field. In speaking of his future plans, he declared that he hoped to be able to go ahead with the plan of his .parents that he attend West Point Military academy. He will stay in St. George until the latter part of June and will then go to West Point to take his final examinations. examina-tions. Present plans call for Virginia's completion of her course here in the Dixie High school. After that she and Dora will go to stay with their aunt, Mrs. Holloway in Lexington, Kentucky. Mr. and Mrs. A. L. Boyce and son. Bill ie, have returned to their home in Fort Bragg, California. Mrs. Dora Cheel, mother of Mrs. Alsop, whose home is in Burhank, California, will visit for awhile with them. Mr. Boyce is her son. |
