Show Tridell loma (TlcKee Phone 247-3177 Ivin Ross dies in hospital Word was received in Tridell Friday morning of the death of Ivin G. Ross, 81, Roosevelt. Mr. Ross died Thursday night in the Duchesne County Hospital of a heart ailment. He was an old time resident of Tridell. Funeral services were held Monday morning at 11 a.m. in the Roosevelt Fifth Ward Chapel. Burial was in the Tridell Cemetery., Vilma Harvey, Salt Lake City, spent Father's Day with Mr. and Mrs. John Harvey. Mr. and Mrs. Jack Willis spent Thursday and Friday in Salt Lake City. Mr. Willis spent Thursday night in the Veteran's Hospital. Vida McKee left Saturday morning with a tour group from Vernal to go to the World's Fair in Nashville, Tenn. They also plan on attending "The Grand Old Opera." Word was received in Tridell this week of the birth of a new son to Mr. and Mrs. Steven Ross of Carson City, Nev. The baby weighed 7 lbs. 2 oz. and will be named Laren Alen Ross. They now have 2 sons and a daughter. Howard Merrell left Thursday on a two-week trip to Cedar City, Albuquerque, N.M., and Derfver, Colo. Howard is working for a moving company. Mr. and Mrs. Kay Leon Glines and family, Las Vegas, Nev., spent the weekend with Mr. and Mrs. Clyde Merkley and Mr. and Mrs. Errol Merkley and children spent the weekend in Mantau where they attended a Clyde Merkley family reunion Saturday and Sunday. They attended a missionary testimonial for Elder Stewart Richards. Elder Richards has been called to the Japan, Nagoyu mission. He will enter the Mission Training Center July 1. He is the son of Lynn and Deon Richards. The Cub Scouts from Tridell enjoyed a day camp at the new Roosevelt Park Saturday. Den leaders are Teresa Page, Barbara Goodrich and Sherrie Brinkerhoff. Mr. and Mrs. Preston Taylor enjoyed s a Bently family reunion at Bacon Park Sunday. Mr. and Mrs. Douglas McKee and family left Saturday for Craig, Colo., to attend a Baker family reunion. Elder Clair Haslem has been transferred to Sedar Woolley, Washington. He reports he is having good success and enjoying his mission. Mr. and Mrs. Farrell Simmons spent Friday and Saturday in Provo. Becky, Jean and Joan Wallace and Rachel Stump have been visiting at the Gene Williams home in Ferron, Utah! Elma Wallace and Patricia went to Ferron and brought the girls home and some of the Williams children. The Gene Williams family came and got their children last week. |
