'The Odd Couple' opens July 16 at Bottle Hollow "The Odd Couple", a smash hit on Broadway and film, opens an extended run beginning tonight, Thursday, July 16 in the Ute Bottle Hollow Convention Center. This Dinner Theatre production begins at 8 p.m. preceeded by a delicious buffet dinner which starts at 7 p.m. You can reserve your seats by calling Bonnie at 722-2431 between 8 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. You must have a reserved seat to enjoy Dinner Theatre. This award winning Neil Simon classic enjoyed a year long run on Broadway before becoming a film favorite and a plot for a TV series. It is a classic in humor. Most critics consider con-sider it to be Mr. Simon's best play. In "The Odd Couple", Mr. Simon weaves ordinary communication problems into a plot so funny you can't stop laughing. ' It is the story of two men who are separated from their wives. Oscar invites in-vites Felix to live with him because "he can't stand living alone." Felix moves in, and the two men procede to make the same mistakes that wrecked their marriages. When Felix moves out, Oscar tells him, "Your wife only wanted to repaint your room, I'm going to have it bronzed." Oscar is played by Kit Anderton, and Felix is played by Ward Hicks. Poker players are: Curtis Tucker, Darrell Jones, J R. (Chunky) Murray, and Kip Gardner. The Pigeon Sisters are Mary Lee Anderton and Micki Glines. "The Odd Couple" is directed by Nels Carlson. He also designed and built the set. Shen Grimaud is assisting Mr. Carlson as his stage manager. |
