The Daggett County School District today announced Its policy for children unable to pay the full price for meals served under the National School Lunch program. To apply at any time during the year for free or reduced price meals for your children complete an application obtainable from the Daggett County School District office, phone 784-3174 and return it to the school. A new application must be filled out each year. Within 10 days of receiving your application, the school well let you know whether or not your children are eligible. In certain cases, foster children are also eligible for these benefits. If you have foster children living with you and wish to apply for such meals for them, please notify the school district or indicate in on the application. All children are treated the same regardless of ability to pay. In the operation of child feeding programs, no child will be discriminated against because of race, sex, creed, color or national origin. If you do not agree with the school's decision on your application, you are entitled to a fair hearing to review the decision further. Arrange a hearing by calling Superintendent Norman Long at 784-3174. Hearing procedures are outlined in the policy and may bereviewed by any interested party at the school district office.
