Show IMPORTANT NOTICE NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING FOR THE INTENT OF INCREASING ELECTRIC RATES H -.' 10:00 a.m. May 28, 1980 Moon Lake Meeting Room ;!' 188 W. 2nd North, Roosevelt, Utah The Moon Lake Electric Board of Directors will hear a proposal to increase ' : electric rates to all Utah consumers. It is proposed that Moon Lake pass on tc consumers the increased cost of power resulting from a change in the sourly wholesale power. - ?' In June 19 the Utah Public Service Commission ordered Utah Power and f Co. to eventually cancel all existing wholesale power contracts and in lieu of th contracts to sell a portion of their new generating units to their wholer' customers. " f- Moon Lake Electric Association and five other REA financed cooperatives wholesale customers of Utah Power and Light, formed the Deseret Generation ;' Transmission Cooperative to build a power plant and to purchase a portion of UP&L Hunter II generating facility in Emery County, Utah. p Power from Hunter II will replace the wholesale purchases from UP&L on JJ 1, 1980. Moon Lake proposes to pass on the increased cost of power to its custonj'' at the rate of 10.87 Mills per KWH for each KWH sold. The increase for the IJ'' portion of the Moon Lake system would be $3,438,140.00 on an annual basis ' would require a 40 increase in revenues. The increase does not affect the rat return. J:.
