Show L. i Vo n G a rdner Post 124 announce new 1980-81 officers Newly elected officers for Post 124, Jensen Unit, were installed at the District No. 9 meeting held at the American Legion Hall in Roosevelt, Satruday May 10. Those installed were Julian A. Massey, commander; Shirley F. Slaugh, adjutant; and Wesley C. Punches, 1st vice commander. Post 124 Legion members were proud to receive the following citations and awards which were given by Utah Department Commander Quinn Plowman: Annual Americanism Citation; Annual Children & Youth Citation; Post of Distinction Award; Citation of Most Distinguished Service; Post Commander Award-presented to Shirley F. Slaugh; Certificate of Meritorious Service-presented to Post No. 124 by National Commander Frank I. Hamilton. New oficers for the auxiliary unit of Post 124 are: Mrs. Shirley F. Slaugh (Evelyn) President; Mrs. Julian Massey (Ellen) vice president; and Mrs. Wesley C. Punches (lone) secretary-treasurer. Post No. 124 wishes to take this opportunity op-portunity to remind all their members and friends that their dance for the month of May will be held Saturday, May 24, 9 p.m. at the Legion Hall in ' Jensen. Newell's Harmony Four band will be playing their delightful music. Ladies are asked to bring a snack for intermission time which is always greatly appreciated and enjoyed by everyone attending. |
