Show Big Crowd Greets Pupils In Exchange Program MANITOWOC, Wis. Thirty young visitors from Macon, Ga., got a taste of northern hospitality when they were welcomed by a noisy crowd at the Manitowoc railroad station recently. re-cently. The visitors are high school juniors jun-iors and seniors taking part in a pupil exchange program between Manitowoc and Macon. A similar number of Manitowoc pupils will go to Macon to learn about life in the south. As the southerners' train pulled into the station the high school band broke out with "Dixie." A barrage of confetti met the Georgians as they stepped from their special car. 'The Macon pupils attended classes at the high school and lived in the homes of pupils who will later visit in Macon. |
