Show LOCAL WOMAN ELECTED TO DISTRICT OFFICE At the annual Central District of Utah Federation of Women's club convention held at the Utah Copper club at Arthur Saturday, March 22, Mrs. J. Lynn Booth was elected district first vice president. Congratulations Mrs. Booth. The Bingham Civic club was well represented at the meet with thirteen members present. Civic Club members have accomplished accom-plished many fine things during the past years. Mrs. Carl A. Curtis Cur-tis has done excellent work as treasurer of Central District during dur-ing the past two years. During the forenoon, Nelson W. Aldrich, public relations director, di-rector, Kennecott Copper Corp. told the history of Utah Copper Division and what the industry can do in "Building A Better World for Tomorrow" which was the theme of the convention. Mrs. I. R. Morrison of Salt Lake City, president of the Utah Federation Fed-eration of Women's Clubs, spoke on the accomplishments of the federation. Besides Mrs. Booth, newly elec ted first vice president, other Central District officers are: Mrs. Bryan W. Bird, of Midvale, formerly for-merly of Bingham, president; Mrs. Neslon Palmer,' Tooele, second sec-ond vice president; Mrs. A. E. Buckley, Midvale,, secretary; Mrs. J. Easton Parratt, Murray, treasurer; Mrs. George Voshell, Magna, historian. - Attending the convention from Bingham were Mrs. Elmo A. Nelson, Nel-son, club president; , Mrs. Dale Johnston, Mrs. Wayne Sorensdn, Mrs. Glen Huebnen, Mrs. S. T. Nerdin, Mrs. Booth, Mrs. Curtis, Mrs. Ray Watson, Mrs. Robert Davis, Mrs. Bob Jimas, Mrs. El-wood El-wood Johnson, Mrs. joe Jones and Mrs. Wm. Swainston. |
