Show "Haws History" a book containing the histories of Albert and Sarah Haws and their ten children was urged and Melvin Hodgkinson was thanked for gathering and typing the first 200 pages of the history. It is expected the balance of the history will be completed this year and available at the next reunion, set for June of 1981. The warm summer afternoon was responsible for keeping Ralph and Reed busy making rootbeer which everyone said was the best they had ever had. There was no real contest to see who could eat the most, but the variety of salads and desserts caused many to forget their diets and enjoy the delicious food, so everyone was a winner. As a final note, reunions are good forv people, because it brings families and friends together, causes them to reflect and consider the great freedoms we enjoy in the land of America and the grand heritage that is ours. |
