Show Craft Cupboard By Maureen G. Spencer r-t r-t - L '''' ii' fs l!.-r Ghost town comes alive This week's Cupboard continues with our Kids Crafts Community Schools projects, and shares a ghost town collage col-lage of weaving reed. Begin with a chunk of scrap wood. Add to it slats of reed that simulate building siding, leaving windows and doors open. Trim those areas with molding slats, tucking clear plastic "broken windows" where needed, dangling curtains, etc. Next "shingle" roof with little pieces of reed, and acrylic paint a title over the door (we used "hotel"). My daughter Donna also added a fence. Finish with a stain over everything, and glue miniature accents of old phones, butter churns, cord ropes, etc. |
