Show PRESENTATION OF A PICTURE. On Sunday last the teachers of the Sunday school presented Superintendent A. A. Allen with a very handsome picture of the first presidency of the Church. The picture was in a handsome gilt frame. It being Brother Allen's birthday, and happening on Sunday, his friends, in consideration of his nine and a half years faithful labors as Superintendent of the Hyrum Sunday school, took this opportunity to show their appreciation of his work among the little ones. There was a full attendance of both parents and children on Sunday morning last. After the usual school exercises, two little girls came in carrying the picture. It was all they could do to carry it, as it was very large. They presented it to their Superintendent. It was a touching scene. The surprise of Brother Allen was complete, and while he was moved almost to tears, he thanked his associates and friends for their kind words and this noble picture, and trusted that in the years that are to come he would be found worthy of the love and esteem of the children and friends of the Sunday school.
