Show COAL AGENCY. In a recent issue of the Journal appeared an editorial article on the coal question, urging the necessity there was of having some person or firm, possessing the necessary capital, obtain from the U. P. company the exclusive agency for the different kinds of coal handled by that company. John E. Price, Esq., late private secretary to ex-Supt. Thatcher, of the U. & N. clipped the article from the Journal, sent it to the proper officer of the company accompanied by a letter vouching for the truth of the statements contained in the article and applying for the agency. The application was immediately granted, and Mr. Price has been appointed exclusive agent for the coal. In the course of a few days he will have a large stock of coal on hand. His office is at Cardon & Thatcher's store, where orders may be left and further information may be obtained. |
