Show BOY BITTEN. On Wednesday the 16th last, John W. Woolf, of Hyde Park, a lad of about fourteen years, was bitten by a large dog, upon the upper portion of one of his legs. He was using the dog as a play-horse, urging it along with a small stick. It seems the animal did not approve of such treatment, and retaliated by seizing the boy as above stated. When once aroused he appears to have become infuriated, shaking the youth somewhat roughly, with his teeth buried in his victim's flesh. Dr. James Hancy, of Hyde Park, was called in, and attended the case. The wound swelled considerably, but is not considered dangerous. No one is blamed for the occurrence. The dog has been killed. |
