Show SUNDAY SCHOOL ENTERTAINMENT. Preparations are in progress for a fine entertainment to be given for the benefit of the Sunday school of the 2nd ward. The affair will come off in Logan Hall on Wednesday evening, March 29th, and will be one of the finest of the kind witnessed in this city for many a day if we can judge by the partially prepared program. The latter embraces songs, recitations, musical exercises, a hornpipe by Edwin G?? and brother, and the ?? scene from the drama of "Norval?," by Messrs. G. J. and J. G. Bywater and S. D. Olsen, ?? a number of other specially attractive features. Great pains are being taken to ensure the success of the entertainment, of which there is no doubt. The prices of admission will be the usual theatre [theater] rates, and the proceeds will be devoted to the benefit of the Second Ward Sunday school. We bespeak a fine time and a full house. The committees having the entertainment in charge are as follows: On music, Wm. [William] Knowles, Amos Clark, and Joseph Cowley; on recitations, N. W. Kimball, Hattie Hayball, and Emiline Knowles; on arrangements, Joseph Quinney. |
