Show the many able medical men of our Territory will reply. I have known several persons who ?? from this disease in England and on coming here they were very much relieved by breathing our pure mountain air. I can well understand how this disease can be common in smoky, foggy and rainy old England. But here in our clear, pure air, with a cloudless sky for three months at a time in summer, and often six or seven weeks in winter, how pneumonia can be so prevalent is a wonder to many. It may be, perhaps, caused by the sudden change from extreme heat to cold, and the want of proper change of clothing to suit this sudden change. I believe our physicians would confer a great favor if they would give the public their views on this serious disease, and the cause thereof. C.C.S. |
