Show THE THIRD WARD SABBATH SCHOOL. Editor Leader: I had the pleasure on Sunday last of visiting the 3d Ward Sabbath school. Of course the general characteristics of all our Sunday schools are similar, yet each one usually has some distinctive feature and such I found to be the case in that of which I am now speaking. At the close of the reading exercises Superintendent Morrell made promiscuous calls upon various members of different classes to state the substance of what they had been reading; and from whence the lesson, and in some cases to recite passages from the same. The responses conclusively showed that the lessons had not been read in vain. This custom of the school presented itself to my mind as a very good one. Good order, that prerequisite to every efficient school prevailed. Success, say I, to the 3d Ward Sabbath school, and ?? to every one of these noble and indispensible [indispensable] institutions.
