| Show ERDA mrs st e alche clegg on tuesday august 26 the championship game of the grants ville stake G rl s softball league was played between erda and grantsville Grants ville 2nd erda emerged v ct clorious orious with a score of IS 18 14 the ine girls who won the game that night are as follows bertha droubay catch and merlyn droubay pitch jayne walters 1st base emma warr 2nd base arlene palmer 3rd base donna lauritzen Laun 1st short stop velma liddell 2nd short stop irene warr left field car ol 01 stafford center field and jan et walters right field dorothy dillard and lorraine lauritzen Laun were there as extras and lorraine kept score jean wright has played all season but she was unable to be there for this last game it was a good game and a good season and we hope to be able to do as well next sum mer about twenty five people were in attendance at the sunday school outing at fairmont park last friday softball was the game of the afternoon after which ev elyone enjoyed a very nice lunch mr and mrs clarence cochrane and daughters dorothy and pam ela left last friday on their vaca tion they went up through wy oming orning and spent their first night at evanston then they continued on to rock springs on the trip back they stopped at heber C ty where they aisted vis ted with friends then they went down through pro vo and back home arriving here early monday morning the seven thimbles 4 H club will hold their achievement day thursday most of the girls have completed their summers work mr and mrs hartley palmer en pertained their friends mr ind and mrs mark kearney and family of salt lake over this last weekend mr and mrs eugene kroff and their four sons of salt lake city visited with us during the last week on sunday veri verl and ladean kroff of tooele thoele dropped in for a short visit mr and mrs alien allen warr were also vacationing last week they left lefe on wednesday and went to kamas where they visited rela tives then they went through wayne county and arrived home sunday night irene warr entertained at a par ty wednesday night those present included dean and earl palmer velma liddell janet walters and the hostess after playing card games refreshments were served to finish out the evening miss ruby warr was home from westminister West minister college for the labor day weekend |
