The report on the Smorgasbord Sm-orgasbord Dinner last month was that it was a- great success, suc-cess, that the response was, very" rewarding, and that thanks are extended to all who participated in preparation, prepara-tion, publicity, and partaking. All members were urged to attend the ' Community Thanksgiving Services at the Community Baptist Church on Thanksgiving Eve, at which Father Joe Hogben was to . deliver the message. The report of the nominating nomin-ating committee was given, by Chairman Mildred Cooley, and unanimously accepted. The newly elected officers for 1972 are: President, Jean Shately; vice president Blen-dina Blen-dina Maynard; Secretary, Sylvia Levering ;Treasurer, Ronnie Budge. Guild members were saddened sad-dened to learn of the illness of Marie Strijckland who is hospitalized in Grand Junction. Junc-tion. In lieu of the annual Canterbury Can-terbury Fair St. Clare's Guil is putting on a Christmas Bake Sale Friday afternoon and evening December 10th, from 3:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m at the Parsh Hall of the church of St. Francs. Along with the Bake Sale will be a limited Bazaar, a snack' shop selling refreshments and a special feature for children buying gifts off a gift tree. General chairman for the event ev-ent is Mrs. Sylvia Levering, assisted by Bake Sale Chairman Chair-man Gladys Gary, Bazaar chairman Susan Hogben, and Gift Tree chairman Blendina Maynard. ' Instead of the regular business bus-iness meeting in December, a special Christmas program will be presented by Mr. Wendell Wen-dell Bowthorpe and some of his pupils on Tuesday evening, even-ing, December 14th at 8:00 p.m. at the Episcopal Church. Members of Guild, their husbands hus-bands and guests are welcome. |
