Show Grand Bond Sales Listed For the Month Grand County Series E-H Savings Bonds sales for April came to $3,349, it was reported today by volunteer county bonds chairman Robert A. Dalton. This brings the county's 4-months sales total to $27,562. Two of the state's 29 counties topped 100 percent of their share of the "Take Stock in America" campaign goal of $32.5 million for Utah in 1976. The counties taking this early lead are Beaver and Emery. Five other counties. Grand, Millard, Sanpete, Sevier and Uintah, topped the 50 percent mark. Figures released today by the Department of Treasury and reported by W.E. Gile, state chairman, and John E. Lat tin. 1976 TSIA chairman, show Utahn's purchased $2,164,401 worth of Series E-H Bonds in April, bringing the 4-nionth sales total to $10,889,710 or 34 percent of the 1976 goal. Americans now own nearly 70 billion (69.808 million) worth of E-H Bonds and Freedom Shares. E and H holdings account for nearly l5th of the privately-held portion of the public debt. County bond buyers and others are reminded by their chairmen that bonds purchased purchas-ed in July can have our "Independence "Inde-pendence Day" date inscribed as "Date of Issue" on all Series E Bonds. ..a bicentennial bicentenni-al souvenir that is guaranteed to increase in value. |
