Show July 4th Activities . . . July 3 10 a.m. Moab pire Department Water Fight at the City Park. 1 p.m. Activity moves to the north bank of the Colorado River for canoe, kayak and innertube races. Speciality race - Anything That Floats Water Ski Show between racing events. Dark Fireworks Display from Moab Rim July4 10a.m. Sunday Morning Service of 1776 at the Episcopal Church of St. Francis, Kane . Creek Road Noon Tolling of the Bells to commemorate the ringing of the Liberty Bell in Philadelphia 200 years ago announcing the Declaration of Independence. The bells at the Seventh Day Adventist Church and Pioneer Hall will be ringing, as will the Grand County High School Victory Bell. Bells will also be heard over the airwaves of KURA radio. Everyone is asked to ring any bell that they may have for two minutes. 12:15 p.m. Dedication of the Flagpoles at the Community Baptist Church, 544 Ml Vida Drive Followed by an old fashioned lawn picnic 4 p.m. Jaycees' Family Picnic at Warner Lake 4 to 6 p.m. "Hoe-Down" Fiddlin' Concert by Junior Daugherty, New Mexico State Fiddlin' champ, at the Lion's Park, no charge. |
