Show EMT Training To Begin on Oct. 30 Anyone interested in becoming be-coming an emergency medical technician and serving as an ambulance attendant will have an opportunity to do so this fall. And, the Grand County Ambulance Assn. will pay the $40 registration fee for anyone who will agree to be an attendant for one year. Others must pay the $40 in advance of the course, which wil! contain 81 hours of instruction starting Oct. 30 and ending Nov. 21. Applicants for the EMT course must be at least 18 years old, and must hold a current Standard First Aid of Bureau of Mines First Aid card. A Standard First Aid class will begin at the first of October, and successful completion com-pletion of this class will qualify a person to take the EMT training. For details on the Standard First Aid class, contact Jerry Epperson. EMT training is valuable not only for ambulance attendants, attend-ants, but also for anyone who has reason to be in contact with the public in times of trouble, such as law enforcement enforce-ment officers, forest and park rangers, teachers and firemen. |
