Show Mary-Martha Mission Holds Regular Meeting The Mary - Martha Mission Society of the Community Baptist Church met on the evening even-ing of March 13 with Mrs. J.W. Corbin, vice-president, vice-president, presiding. Mrs. Robert Ritchie gave a devotional on "Vouthful Energy" and led in prayer. Love Gift Chairman, Mrs. Emil Balla reported report-ed that the offering for February was $38.13. The national goal for Love Gift this vear is S710.000.00. Mrs. Balla also reported on the new Cook Book Project. Announcement was made of coming events in which the women of the local society will be involved. They are: Women's Day in the church on April 29, at which time Mrs. Fred Radcliff w ill present the message: Mother-Daughter Mother-Daughter Banquet in May; Women's House Party in June to be held in Denver; Senior Citizen's Citi-zen's Tea on April 24 to be hosted by the Elizabeth Eliz-abeth Walter's Circle; and the Associational Women's Meeting on April 5 to be held in Montrose. Colorado. Nominating Committee Chairman Mrs. Ritchie presented the slate of officers for the new year. They are: President. Presi-dent. Mrs. Warren Ivy; Vice President and Program Chairmen. Mrs. Cecil Shaffer and Mrs. Arthur Martin; Secretary, Mrs. John Pavey; Special Interest Missionary Chairman. Mrs. Fred Young; Love Gift Chairman, Mrs. James Brewer; Treasurer, Treas-urer, Mrs. Ritchie; and White Cross Chairman. Mrs. Mildred Campbell. Mrs. Lester Taylor and Mrs. Balla were in charge of the program for the evening. Mrs. Taylor gave an introduction intro-duction to the film on the Indian mission field, "A Girl Called Alice." Closing prayer was led by Mrs. A. L. Hoi- loway. Refreshments were served by the Mildred Proctor Circle to 25 members and one'nest. Mrs. Vivian Pritchett. |
