Show SCS District Board Honors Moab Teacher for Efforts I The Board of the Grand Soil Conservation District has named a local teacher for a national environmental education award program. Mrs. Louise Hetzel, of the Helen M. Knight Elementary School faculty, has been nominated no-minated for Conservation Teacher of the Year, an annual competition, co-sponsored co-sponsored by the National Association of Conservation Districts and the Allls Chalmers Chal-mers Corporation. Mrs. Hetzel's work in the establishment of an environmental environ-mental education program for the Grand County School District and promoting the use of the Wolfe Cabin Environmental En-vironmental Study Area at Arches National Park have long qualified her for recognition recog-nition in this field. The selection of Utah Conservation Con-servation Teacher of the Year will be made from a roster of candidates submitted sub-mitted by soil conservation districts from around the state. The winner will go on to regional competition. Then, regional nominations will proceed to conslderatton for the national title.
